2024 Cape May Fiber Gift Guide
Hello friends !
I’m watching Hallmark as I write this blog today! This is my second favorite time of the year and I am so looking forward to cooking and hosting my family and friends this Thanksgiving. My mom is from the south, and her pea salad recipe is one we have at every Thanksgiving. My brother disdainfully refers to it as “dreaded pea salad” 😂 However, I have successfully converted my husband, Tim, to enjoy it just as much as me!
The original recipe is from a southern church recipe swap book, so it’s like been memorized. If you are interested in making your own pea salad, this recipe is close to it; we use instead of apple cider vinegar and sour cream (and no sugar) 1/2 thousand islands and 1/2 mayo. Delish!!
please let me know if you do try it !
Does your family have any unusual holiday recipes? I’d love to hear about them.
Now, back to the topic !
