Text Box: About colorwork gauge…
It is really important you keep loose floats when working in the colorwork so that the sock fits your calf and leg.
Consider using 1, or even 2, sizes larger needle than you normally would for this yarn. Then, be sure to block your swatch and check the gauge once again to see if you need to make any stitch count adjustments.

Another nifty way to keep floats even, and longer, is to work the colorwork from the inside out.

If you happen to have a thicker calf than foot, consider increasing to an even larger needle size for a looser gauge for the leg. Keep in mind there is less stretch in general for colorwork.71 (80, 85)—yards / 65 (73, 78) meters in COLOR B
